Foundation House

JRC received the roofing contract for Foundation House, a premier senior living community in Federal Way, WA. Known for its pampered care, Foundation House spans over ten acres of beautifully landscaped property, offering residents a small, close-knit community surrounded by nature.

For this project, JRC installed a new roof system on top of the existing one. The process began with debris removal from the existing surface. JRC then mechanically attached 930 squares of Carlisle 115 mil Fleeceback EPDM over the existing roof and fully adhered .060 mil EPDM up the parapet walls. The Carlisle Fleeceback EPDM provides 40% greater puncture resistance and 180% more tear resistance than older modified bitumen systems, along with excellent hail damage resistance and superior wind uplift resistance. To protect against normal wear and tear, JRC installed walk pads at rooftop access points, preventing foot traffic damage during regular HVAC and equipment maintenance.
