JRC was awarded the Flat Roof and Standing Seam Roofing Contract for Bass Pro Shop in Tampa, Florida by General Contractor, Parkes Construction. Known for its large, wilderness-themed stores & wide array of hunting, fishing & outdoor gear, Bass Pro Shop is unlike any other with a 11,000-gallon freshwater aquarium, Tracker Boat Sales & Service Center and during the holidays, Santa’s Wonderland. The one-of-a-kind store also features a 8,000-square-foot restaurant, Islamorada Fish Company Restaurant and an additional 2,000-gallon saltwater aquarium in the restaurant’s lobby.
For this project, JRC Production Team focused on both flat roof installation and standing seam metal roof installation. For the flat roof portion, JRC started by mechanically attaching two layers of underlayment, polyiso over the existing metal decking. This insulation will reduce energy costs for the building and keep shoppers comfortable while they shop. Once installing the insulation, JRC fully adhered over 1,110 SQS of Carlisle .060 mil TPO. By installing white TPO, it will reflect the heat of the sun, which maximizes the facility’s utility efficiency and helps reduce energy costs. Installation of a TPO single-ply roof is quicker, cleaner and more cost-effective than other types of roofing systems.
For the Standing Seam Metal portion, JRC Production Team installed Berridge Cee-Lock 16” Panel with “Snap lock” design across the 685,078 sq ft department store. The Berridge Cee-Lock Standing Seam System provides superior wind resistance rating, fire resistance ratings, and impact resistance ratings. Additionally the Berridge Cee-Lock Standing Seam System is Miami-Dade Approved.
