Bell’s Bluff Apartments

JRC was awarded the TPO Roofing Contract for Bell’s Bluff Apartment in Nashville, TN by General Contractor, Southland Constructors. On the banks of the Cumberland River, the multi-family complex will include studio, one, two and three bedroom units with a riverfront amenity package that will include a clubroom, fitness center and cantilevered pool. The 402-unit Bells Bluff apartment community will span over 44 acres at 7600 Cabot Drive in West Nashville.

The unique roof design is a mono-pitched roof, is a single-sloped roof surface, often not attached to another roof surface. The simplicity of the design is this type of roof’s strong point. The long roof can help protect the building’s interior from excessive sunlight at certain times of the day.

For this project, JRC Production Team installed a combination of Certainteed Shingles, Carlisle TPO and Standing Seam Metal throughout the main complex, and amenities areas.

Due to the regional location and architect’s specifications, JRC installed 1184+ SQS of Certainteed Shingles in a traditional rustic weatherwood color. Along the flat sloped sections, JRC fully adhered over 420 SQS of Carlisle Sureweld White TPO. By installing a White colored TPO Membrane along the flat sloped service areas, the equipment will run more efficiently and effectively without combating the heat from the sun. Additionally maintenance / service equipment technicians will have easier access to service the equipment as needed.

Additionally, to complete the rooftop design, JRC installed all gutters and downspouts to ensure proper drainage for the brand new roof system. Along the amenities area and small porches throughout the property, JRC installed a MRS System 1000, standing seam panel metal roof system. Metal accent roofs have become a popular trend as they incorporate an industrial aesthetic into a modern multi-family design.
