JRC received the roofing contract for a senior living community dedicated to providing superior Alzheimer’s and dementia care in Tempe, AZ. Minutes from Phoenix, AZ, the Tempe Community offers both homelike memory care community features private and companion suites. Like many communities, Tempe has mixed slopes throughout the 32,336 sf property including a Tile and TPO roof system.
For this project, JRC adhered 140+ squares of Carlisle White TPO over the existing roof. By adhering the membrane to the decking, the roof system will be less susceptible to leaks as the membrane is adhered with adhesive, rather than metal fasteners. In addition to the overall aesthetic appeal of an adhered roof systems, they also provide provide higher Factory Mutual (FM) wind-uplift rating ideal for areas of high wind. As the community is in Arizona, the white colored TPO Membrane naturally reflects the harsh sun-rays instead of absorbing them, keeping the interior of your building cooler and costing less money keeping your facility cool during hot summer months. TPO is also 100% recyclable.
