JRC received the roofing contract for a Foundation House, a senior living community in Federal Way, WA. The Foundation House is a premier Washington state senior living community considered among the best in the region for delivering pampered care. The three-story senior living community spans over ten acres of beautifully landscaped property and residents can enjoy a small, close-knit community that is surrounded by nature.
For this project, JRC provided a re-roof options meaning the new roof system is installed on top of the existing. To begin, JRC Production Team started by removing debris from the existing surface. Once cleaned, JRC mechanically attached 930 SQS Carlisle 115 mil Fleeceback EPDM over existing roof and fully adhered .060 mil EPDM up parapet walls (side walls). By installing Carlisle Fleeceback EPDM, the property will have 40% greater puncture resistance, 180% tear resistance than older modified bitumen systems. Carlisle’s Fleeceback EPDM System offers excellent hail damage resistance as the fleece reinforcement providers additional toughness, durability and superior wind uplift resistance.
Additionally, to provide additional protection against normal wear and tear, JRC installed walk pads across the roof top access points. This will prevent foot traffic damage as technicians regular service the HVAC and other equipment.
