JRC was awarded the shingle roof replacement contract for a Allen senior living community in Allen, Texas. Parkview in Allen provides a carefree lifestyle and resort amenities, including a pool and spa. Just an hour outside the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, the Allen senior living community was awarded the Caring Star of 2019, Caring Star Community 2017 and Best Senior Living Award in 2013. The award winning 9-acre community features a country setting and includes resort amenities such as a clubhouse, dance floor, media room and more. When residents aren’t enjoy the chef prepared meals, they can enjoy the community walking paths that lead to the rose garden, swing set and gazebo.
For the project, JRC Production Team focused on proving a full shingle roof replacement for the 253,669 sf community building. Starting with the existing roof system, JRC removed the old shingle roof system down to the decking. Once new underlayment was applied, JRC installed 329 SQS of Atlas ProLam 30yr. Dimensional Shingles. Atlas ProLam 30yr. Dimensional Shingles in Hearthstone Gray color are laminated, architectural shingles that feature oversized shingle dimensions, distinct shadow lines and random cuts that create the texture and charm of a multi-layered wood shake shingle.
In addition to the roofing project, JRC replaced the 9,462 LF of gutters and downspouts to ensure the community has proper drainage system and maximize the life of the roof system.
