JRC was awarded the roofing contractor for Patriot Heights Community in San Antonio, Texas. The 23-acres community includes both Independent Living; Nursing Care and Rehabilitation facilities. Residents can enjoy the community’s landscaped walking paths and gardens whether its a short-term or long-term visit.

For the project, JRC inspected the existing roof system and determined the community’s best solution was a total roof replacement. Like many properties, Patriots Heights includes both low and steep slope roof systems. For the low slope area, JRC installed 320+ SQS of Fleeceback TPO, this is most commonly installed for service maintenance technicians and equipment. The Fleeceback TPO will provide better weather-durability and it was specifically designed for enhanced hail resistance, wind resistances and puncture resistant. The benefit of minimal noise and odor before and after installation was also a big advantage for communities, like Patriot Heights.

For the steep slope portion of this project, JRC installed over 2,800+ SQS of Atlas Shingles. Atlas ProLam is a becoming more common selection than traditional shingles. Unlike traditional shingles, Atlas’s ProLAM Shingles, are thicker, and the increased weight significantly improves the wind resistance. Additionally, Atlas ProLAM Shingles are less likely to warp than traditional shingles.
