JRC was awarded the roofing contract for the Bright Leaf Community in Danville, VA. Sitting on five acres, the community is nestled in a residential area, but offers individual care plans to meet the needs of each resident. The community features private apartments, as well as, assisted living for more customized care.
For this project, JRC's scope of work focused on the removal and full roof replacement. To start, JRC removed all existing material down to the plywood decking. After inspecting the decking, JRC replaced 20 sheets of decking to ensure the infrastructure properly prepped for the new roof installation. Once installing proper insulation across the entire roof system, JRC installed 485 SQS of Atlas Prolam are laminated, architectural shingles that feature oversized shingle dimensions, distinct shadow lines and random cuts that create the texture and charm of a multi-layered wood shake shingle.
