JRC was awarded the Roofing Contract for a senior living and assisted living community in the quiet, suburban area of Scott Depot,West Virginia. Located just northwest of Charleston, the community features both studio and one-bedrooms apartments with extensive array of amenities designed to maximize resident's comfort, convenience and enjoyment.
For this project, JRC provide a full re-roof to both the shingle and flat roofs on the property.
For the shingle portion, JRC started by removing the existing shingles and installing new protective underlayment. Once inspected, JRC installed IKO Cambridge Dimensional Shingles in their popular, weathered wood color. Cambridge 30yr. Dimensional Shingles is IKO’s most popular shingle. Its dimensional profile and deep shadow bands creates an appearance of natural wood shakes to create a high-end designer look at an affordable cost. Cambridge enhances any property's style, from traditional to modern, rustic to urban. It’s engineered to withstand the elements for years, making it one of the most durable shingles in the industry.
For the flat roof portion, JRC removed the existing EPDM membrane down to the plywood decking. After inspecting the decking, JRC mechanically attached tapered insulation to match the existing thickness and slope. Once the insulation was in place, we then fully adhered Carlisle 60 mil Unreinforced EPDM.
