The Walk at Tulsa Hills
JRC was awarded TPO roofing contracts (Great Clips, Carmike Cinemas and Gander Mountain) for The Walk at Tulsa Hills Shopping Center in Tulsa, OK by Parkes Construction. The Walk at Tulsa Hills is a $32.5 million, 155,000-square-foot retail center in the southwest corner of 81st Street and U.S. Highway 75. Due to the shopping center’s regional location, white TPO was recommended for energy efficiency and climate control.
The Carmike Cinemas, one of three contracts awarded to JRC, is a 47,000-square-foot movie theater with over 10 auditorium style screens. This massive auditorium has the largest seating capacity — 549 — of any theater in the Tulsa area. For this project, JRC installed 570 squares of white TPO. The white color was recommended as it substantially improves the building’s energy efficiency by reflecting the sun’s rays. The Gander Mountain, the second contract awarded to JRC, is a 45,600-square foot store for outdoors enthusiasts. It’s the first Gander Mountain to open in the state of Oklahoma. For this project, JRC installed over 400 squares of white TPO.
The final project JRC completed at The Walk at Tulsa Hills Shopping Center is, a casual salon chain, Great Clips. For this project, we installed 280 squares of white TPO, uniform to the shopping center’s existing design aesthetic.
